¶ … life I had seen many people in great difficulties, but the idea of going out of my way and lending them a helping hand had never struck me. I was deeply moved by the concept of being more helpful to the people in need by the way my mother helped may Koreans at the time a typhoon had hit Northeast Korea. The way that my mother used to help many homeless Koreans has been an inspiration for me and since that time, I have learned that helping needy people is one of the best things that a person and in his life. Since the time I have graduated from school, I have seen that my mother has ben helping many needy people through local food stamp programs.

One thing that I find negative and able to be criticized is that helping people is a concept that is very well-known and one should be aware of the concept since the beginning of his or her life. The experiences of a human being of being helpful to the others should be there since the beginning. Needy people are rather all around us and it is important that special attention is given to these needy ones. It is rather wrong to be aware of the needs of the poor and needy people when someone close starts to give them help.

There is no doubt about the fact that if small scale of help is given to the poor, it can make greater differences, not only in their lives but also in the society as well. But one of the most important facts that need to be considered here is the amount of motivation that is needed by an individual to know the importance of social help and helping for the needy ones.

The social help is not in any need of motivation or special class-based education. But, the social help and the desire for social help is a desire of the one who want to help. Another important fact that needs to be mentioned here is that only those should be the ones stepping ahead for social help who have seen pain, poverty and financial issues in the life. Only those who have faced these issues are the ones who can understand the pain of the needy ones. The best way that can be used to help the needy and poor people is to make sure that a person is fully aware of the needs of the poor people. The volunteer-based organization developed in this case was based on individuals who are not aware of the needs of the poor and needy people.

The main and first project for the volunteer ship group 'NANURI' was the visit to a nursing home, Flower Village. The group had planned to pay a visit and help the patients in the ICU ward. The fact that needs to be mentioned here is that when members of NANURI went in to the serve the patients, there was a great deal of hesitation. It was important that more focused and experienced people were included in NANURI who could understand the needs of extremely ill patents in ICU.
