First Industrial Revolution

Industrial Revolution
One major effect of the First Industrial Revolution is that the workers of America were leaving their home, rather than working in and around the home, to completed their work. This usually meant the worker of the family (usually the man of the house) going toa factor or another building other than the home to complete work. Women usually stayed home and took care of the children and the house. This leads to the other major impact, whereby women were relegated down to subservient and owning lesser status than the man and certainly less than the near-equal status they enjoyed during the agrarian times in the United States and before that when Britain, Spain and France controlled what is now the United States.
The huge increase in productivity and the ability to create and sustain revenue led to an economic revolution that allowed for the building and the leveraging of wealth and resources. Much of the power shifted from individual farmers and tradespeople to the corporations and other corporate entities that subsist to this very day. Corporations took over a huge part of the power and voice of the individual workers and the ebb and flow of everyday commerce in the United States.
Capitalist theory led to communist theory in two major ways. First, communist derides and condemns the profit-motivated nature and the creating of inequality that capitalism tends to create as many people control a lot of the money while there are many people that have little to nothing. The other reason communists came to pass is because many feel that there should be more of a collectivist environment where the people control the means of production. Income and resources can be controlled, seized, redistributed and so forth. Capitalism generally abhors government regulation while communists insist on that and the power of the people (aka the proletariat). Communist/Marxist countries (past and present) like Venezuela, the U.S.S.R., Cuba and so forth have very heavy-handed governments where individual/corporate property rights are basically non-existent or are at least at the discretion and whim of the government (i.e. China). Another difference is that in capitalist countries, the businesses have the power and in Commnist countries, the people and/or the government wields the power…with an emphasis on the people. Communists focus on equality and disbursement of resources in a regimented and specific fashion while capitalists focus more on opportunity and competition. A final difference is that capitalism, while a hotbed of inequality, fares quite well except during economic swoons. Communist countries are often corrupt, still full of poor/ravaged people and the associated governments often extend very little rights to their people (e.g. Cuba, USSR, etc.)
