Garden Eden The sound of the waves crashing on the shore woke Catherine from a dream, and she let out a gasp. She could see in the predawn periwinkle that the pile of sheet beside her did not contain David, and she felt his absence and reached between her legs for solace. Aroused, Catherine quickly got out of bed, wearing nothing, and went into the bathroom. She then heard the door open, and two voices giggling, one female and the other belonging to David.

"What's happening to us?" David asked, wanting an answer, not to the wind.

Catherine said nothing, but she turned her head and stared at the window, averting David's eyes.

"Did you write today?" she broke the silence by changing the subject, for lingering in the darkness proved dangerous.

"Of course. I have more ideas. I want to share them. I think they are breakthroughs, but I'm not sure. I…"

"I'm not happy anymore, David. I don't know…What should I do?"

Her eyes were too vacant and empty…

This difficulty has given rise to numerous theories of motivation throughout history, each with its own distinct value. Many generations after Adam, have created new and insightful methods of thought. The problem with many of these theories is that they are imperfect by nature and do not encompass all possible options of behavior. To begin, Elliot defines motivation as a basic innate drive for success. This drive encompasses the

In the Jewish and Christian faith, the Tree of Life has a core presence in the Creation myth, as Fackerell (2010) points out.
