The patient care is improving in most health facilities because of the interactive technology that supports learning. Inventions and innovation are shaping health care because of new approaches to patients care in the health centers. The technology and research have helped in educating patients regarding the essence of personal care. The nursing practice is improving because of the use of objective experience and research-based evidence to solve complex problems. The evidenced-based research has helped improve decision-making and has brought desirable change in the nursing. Research in the nursing practice helps in improving patient outcomes. Patient education is important as it helps the patient understand tips for healthy living, self-management, and comprehend their health care needs.

In many hospitals, patient education helps the patient understand processes of treatments and be able to participate in their health management (Cook et al., 2014). Literate patients appreciate the efforts of the health care providers and have a high level of satisfaction. Evidently, patients who have some knowledge on electronic health management spend a short time in hospitals and can help the health care providers reduce the number of errors during the treatment exercise.

Patient management is becoming a complex exercise because of the increase in chronic medical conditions. Additionally, the demand for the patient care is high because of the increase in the population and the number of people seeking for better health care. The knowledge about the importance of disease prevention has improved because of access to information online. Currently, the patients are responsible for their personal health management because they access information about signs and symptoms of some common diseases (Cook et al., 2014). The nurses are empowering the patients through educations to help them improve the patient care.

Besides, the quality of services in most health care is a priority because of the desire to improve patient outcomes. There are notable changes in health care in the modern society. With the use of computers, the retrieval of patient information is enhanced through proper monitoring of their health progress. The nursing practices are improving because the patients have their records and understand the actions of the nurses. For example, some health cares have interactive platforms where the patients can raise their concerns regarding the quality of services in the health care. The nurses have ample time to talk to their patients regarding their progress at the comfort of their homes.

The education to the patients is the core of most health cares. The nurses advocate for education to patients because it reduces stress when handling diverse medical conditions. Many medical conditions require active participation of the patients in reducing the severity of the condition. Some of the medical conditions such as diabetes, asthma, erectile dysfunction, and hormone replacement require efforts from the patients. As a result, educating the patient on how to management their health is one of the best options in the health care. The diabetic patients need to know how to balance their sugars, the food to eat, how to exercise and the best lifestyle to adapt (Cook et al., 2014).

The education that nurses offer to the patient regarding health management because it helps reduce burdens in the health care and patient outcomes. In any case, the patient must understand how to manage and control their ailments with the help of technology. The use of technology to enhance patient's education eases the work health care providers in many ways. The quality of nursing practice is improving because the patients have knowledge about self-management. In the ancient time, access to smartphones was limited and thus the use of technology to educate patients was limited. However, the health care environment is changing because of the extensive use of technology in patient education. The enhanced patient care has improved patient outcomes and reduced patient readmissions.

The use of technology in educating patients is improving the corporation of the patients and the nurses in the process of treatment. The patients can receive emails from nurses, and calls regarding the progress. On the other hand, the patients can make inquiries concerning issues of health from their homes using the emails and social media. It is easy to book for doctors' appointments on time using the technology. The nurses can manage the patients with ease because they use digital records to access the patient records. The family members of the patients can participate in patient care because they have information regarding patient care.

The use of technology to educating patient has helped to reduce nurse malpractices. The patients know their rights and can participate in the preservation of their privacy. For example, patient education has helped the patient understand the reason for disclosure of personal information and conditions when the disclosure of medical information is desirable. The issues of privacy in health care in the past were problematic because of the use of books to keep patient records (Cook et al., 2014). The use of computers to keep the patient records has helped improve the privacy. I am a beneficiary of patient education because I had to book an appointment in a hospital online. I was able to access medical information from the website of a hospital and to inquire vital information from the nurses. Most families have benefited from patient education because they use the knowledge to manage the medical conditions of their loved ones without the need to visit the hospitals. Often, families are confronted with health problems such as diabetes, which require guide on how to remain healthy with the condition. As a result, patient education is helpful to both the family and the patient.

The digital age is the best moment for nurses. The nurses take an active role in developing learning contents, designing methods of educating the patients and implementing new methods of educating the patients (Bastable, 2016). The roles of the nurses are evolving where the nurse sends books and pamphlets to the patients to help them understand the latest approaches to health care. The access to the reading materials in the hospital websites helps the family members to participate in supporting the patients to live a healthy life.
