People need to be aware of this phenomenon though so that they can better understand their decision-making process and try then to have better control over the decisions that they make. I really like the idea that the authors have in regards to bouncing decisions off other people in order to make sure that someone else with a different point-of-view doesn't see anything wrong with the conclusion that you came to. This could be particularly helpful to someone who is making a very difficult decision that might have a lot a stake.
