Join Us in "The Way"!
The church was formed when Christ, whom you all know as Jesus, was crucified and rose again on the third day. We celebrate that occurrence as His followers acknowledging that He is the Son of God, and that He came to offer us the free gift of salvation from the penalty of disobedience to God. We have established a congregation, and we want others to experience the quickening that we have felt.
The Spirit of God has descended on us, Whom Christ called the Holy Spirit, and we welcome others to feel the indwelling of God's Spirit. Christ, the Son of God, has promised us that through His death and the grace of God we can all have eternal life. We know that it is impossible to live in the presence of God unless we are without sin. The only way that we can achieve this sinless state, seeing that we have all sinned, is to accept the fact that Christ, Who is God, has died as a sacrifice for all people so that they can enter into God's presence.
Did you hear! As the Spirit entered us we were able to speak in the tongues of all men. Though we be from Galilee, God has allowed us to speak to all men who have come to Jerusalem during Pentecost and they were able to understand. The Spirit allowed us speak in many tongues and many were saved.
Peter and John are blessed by God to such an extent that they are able to heal people, cast out demons and raise people from the dead. The power, they say is not of them, but of God in whom they, and we trust. We have little money as believers living and giving as we do, but we are able to give people the peace of God and tell them of the faith that we have.
Know that God will protect you from all manner of evils that can come upon you. We rejoice in the Lord because we a realize the amazing gift that He has given to us, but we also rejoice because of what He saves us from. Peter and John were preaching the gospel and the Pharisees and Sadducees were "grieved" because of they took the two of them and made them speak before them and asked questions such as "Who gave you this authority?" (Acts 4:7). Peter and John answered them with the name that they were loath to hear. Christ was the name they gave as the implement for healing the lame man, and the leaders could say nothing against them because the man was with them. The power of God was demonstrated in the healing of the man, but it was also demonstrated in the fact that Peter and John could talk to the leaders and no be punished.
