It was established in 1999, and it offers different types of equipments including furniture, shoes, bedding, clothes, watches, and many others. Internal analysis of the organization is assessing on the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats. In Overstock.com, some of the strengths include qualified staff, quality products, and customer relations. The company has trained staff equipped with knowledge, skills, and experience in various fields. Staffs who are working in various departments like marketing, finance, production, and human resource are delivered to the required standards. The staff advice on the decisions to be made in the source of funds, markets research, and responding to competition. The company produces quality products, which satisfy the needs of customers. When the needs and requirements of the customers are satisfied, they will be influenced to buy the company's products. Another strength that the company enjoys is a good customer relation. Customers should be handled in polite and welcoming manner that will be comfortable when they are served. If any of the customers is harassed when answering the inquiries, he/she might opt to competitor companies where they can be served without harassment.

The only trick that the company uses to sustain the competition is offering quality products in the market. High production cost is another weakness that the company faces. Due to the production of high-quality products, the company incurs more expenses. The expenses include raw materials, labor, and funds used in administration. High production costs will make the company sell the products at higher prices, which is used by the competitors fighting tool to influence the customers.

Overstock.com has many opportunities that explore and utilize to stabilize the business. The opportunities include global markets, venture capital, information technology, and constant incomes. The company is selling the products globally in different countries. Global markets make the company have customers in various, which leads to increased sales. Global markets act as security to the company. When the sales are lower in other countries, the company will depend in the remaining countries. It is an opportunity because the sales cannot be affected in all countries at the same time. The company has enough money that it can use to establish subsidiary companies in other countries. The company can enough acquire funds from various financial since it has enough security. The income of the company is constant due to stability in production. The company can budget for future expansion in the market arising from reliable and constant income from sales. Information technology is another opportunity that the company can utilize in production, marketing, and even distribution. Currently, information technology has been incorporated in various fields in businesses. In marketing, the skills can be used to advertise the products online using social media like YouTube and even company websites. The skills and softwares can be used in supervising employees and monitoring machines.
