The name yellow cab is used to refer to taxi cabs that serve as a means of transport for New Yorkers. The cabs sport yellow and green distinctive colors. The company incorporated what was referred to as the medallion taxi in the earlier days. The transport liner served passengers plying the five boroughs of the city of New York. The yellow cabs came into existence way later. They were fondly referred to as lively vehicles. The transport line handles passengers plying, Manhattan, the Bronx, the Brooklyn, Staten Island and Queens. The cabs are operated and managed by privately owned companies. They operate under a license issued by the Taxi and Limousine Commission. It is a large organization with over 50 000 vehicles under it control and ownership. It also operates ambulates and vehicles for hire. The company is popular among New Yorkers and visitors because it is always at the service of members of the public 24 hours a day. They respond promptly to normal calls and emergencies. The company has a 31 hot line through which the public can access the ambulance service. One can also use the office line to lodge their request. Other useful user features include a mobile android and iPhone app. A passenger only needs to describe their location and the time they need to be picked up. Besides, the company does not charge the passenger for waiting time. The meter begins to read when the passenger has boarded the taxi.

The legislators in New York decided to draft a bill named a New York Drivers benefit Fund to assist the hard working drivers of New York. The Yellow Cabs are likely to benefit from the fund. The fund proposes healthcare, life insurance and disability allowance for the drivers. The benefits will be distributed and dispensed by the Taxi Limousine Commission. The initiatives are aimed at establishing labor protection in the transport sector.

There are reports of some customers insulting the customers with such complaints. Other complaints include failure to turn air conditioners on when the taxis were hot inside, defective air conditioners that blow dust into the cab where passengers sat and rude drivers. The customer had parted with $66 for the transport service with comfort. He was disappointed. There were complaints for being charged reservation fee but still the taxi failed to show up. It was suggested by the company organization that it was better to make direct calls for assistance. Luckily, the direct call option seemed to work because the support team was polite and resourceful. They even came up with suggestions on how to handle the issues when they were dissatisfied with the services provided.
Finally, the ca company had also been discredited for failure to return lost items to the original owners. One customer complained of having been charged $37 on the company’s online portal but still never recovered the item. All the mishaps have happened despite the fact that there is a website run by the company where customers can lodge their complaints. It is apparent that negligence is at the center of the fiascos. It seems that the company is primarily focused on only making profit at the expense of customer satisfaction. Although most problem areas are marked and meant to be attended to on the website, they still charge a fee and fail to deliver solutions to the problem. Most complaints are never attended.
