Inauguration Once every four years, the President of the United States is sworn in at the inauguration ceremony in January. The event is practical as well as symbolic. It represents the culmination of American democracy, as the leader of the United States of America is empowered and entrusted with the duties of office. The inauguration ceremony might be distasteful for those who harbor resentment against Obama because but that ill will and deep-rooted negative sentiments need to be left out of this momentous occasion.

A ticket to the inaugural ceremony is a great honor indeed, and nothing would please me more than to stand in the audience among my fellow citizens and contemplate how far we have come as a country in just a few hundred years. The fact that Barack Obama is the first African-American president shows that America is finally waking up and fulfilling the promises that were embedded in the original constitution and its Bill of Rights.

I request tickets to the inauguration ceremony on the grounds that I appreciate the solemnity and importance of the occasion. Americans have the ability to attend the inauguration ceremony for free, but the areas left to non-ticket holders are far away from the action. I write my application for the inauguration tickets to my local congressperson, because he or she is the one who can distribute the tickets. I will greatly appreciate the ability to attend the inauguration and take the best possible pictures. In January, Washington, D.C.

can be bitter cold. Therefore, I am seeking official inauguration tickets to the 2013 ceremony during which Barack Obama will be sworn in for his second term in office. I will not re-sell those tickets at a profit on eBay or Craigslist, as many try to do. These tickets will be for me, and one of my family members, so we can take part in this special occasion together. The event is a historic occasion, because it falls on January 21: Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.

President Clinton was also inaugurated for his second term on January 21, Martin Luther King Jr. Day (Jackson, 2012). However, this day means more for Barack Obama, as it shows how we have overcome the tyranny of racism. There may still be racists and bigots in the United States, and they will miss out on the glory and wonder that is peace. I would like tickets to the main inauguration event, so that I can take part in history as America enters a new era.

In addition to tickets to the inauguration event, or the swearing-in ceremony, I would also like tickets to the inaugural ball. This will allow me to wear my best clothes, and meet interesting people in attendance from around the world. The ball events are exciting, and although many of the people in attendance will be ordinary politicians, there will also be celebrities there. The actual swearing in of the president takes place in private, but the public event is the symbolic one that solidifies the American Dream.

We can overcome, and we can achieve anything. The large number of Americans who currently hate President Obama have serious psychological issues that need to be worked out, and there is nothing that the President can do to assuage their fears and make their.
