These influences help to shape the decisions made by the executive and legislative branches and can impact the policies that are enacted. In order to ensure that laws are created and enacted in a way that benefits the public, both branches must consult with each other and cooperate throughout the entire process. Only through this type of cooperation can the government hope to create and implement laws that effectively protect and serve the interests of the people.
