To be able to accomplish the objectives of the team, the team leader must be accommodating of the divergent behaviors as well as views of team members. In all the instances I have been called upon to head teams, flexibility has come in handy. I recognized earlier on that rigidity in such a scenario would be counterproductive especially given the need to be accommodating of other people's views. Adventurous

As an adventurous individual, I have at times engaged in certain activities just for the thrill they bring. Individuals who are adventurous are always ready to take risks. Further, adventurous people are never afraid of putting to test new ideas, discoveries or even ways of doing things. From quite a young age, I had a particular...

To date I often get bored with repetitive tasks. I also tend to enjoy activities that are regarded high-risk. These include bungee jumping and skydiving. It however goes without saying that at times, being too adventurous has landed me in trouble. However, in recent times, being a little adventurous has paid off. For instance, there was a time I avoided what is often referred to as the 'herd mentality' and chose to buy stocks that other people were 'furiously' selling. I believed these stocks were relatively undervalued. I was right. Later on, my gamble paid off after the said stocks appreciated in value.
Conclusion

In addition to the traits I highlight above, I also regard myself honest, respectful, fair, and courageous. Further, I do not shy away from doing the right thing even in the face of opposition.

Without this knowledge, they would be unable to converse effectively with colleagues or read the relevant literature across disciplines. When I first started college I was undecided about what major to pursue and started taking courses in different departments. I took developmental psychology, chemistry, guitar, and women's

Interdisciplinarians Collaboration among researchers in multiple disciplines is the essence of interdisciplinarity and entails the collective conception, development, and pursuit of a research problem (Simon et al., 757). Doing this effectively requires time to develop a common language, resolve epistemological differences, and define research expectations. It is important that interdisciplinarians have a solid sense of their own strengths and areas for improvement in order to maximum their work in the

Benson and Newell - Critique Which of Benson's arguments was most convincing? Why? Benson's 4th argument ("Interdisciplinary courses are shallow") has some merit albeit he cheapens it by dipping too deeply into his love of exaggeration. Probably the 2nd objection Benson presents has the most value because students who would probably receive the most benefits from interdisciplinary studies are those students who are high achievers already. Clearly Benson is on the

More than 98% of respondents had heard of the term "brain death," but only one-third (33.7%) believed that someone who was "brain dead" was legally dead. Using a utilitarian approach, organ donation does provide good for others; and, when managed appropriated, can provide a greater good for society at large. However, utilizing a population for organ harvesting, or changing the model so that organ donation is seen as a
