The purchasing individual that I spoke with at Aerojet had completed a MBA at the University of Tennessee before accepting his position with the company. His essential job functions include the following items:

60% Identification of sources and procurement of components, subassemblies, chemicals, and services which may include procurement of hazardous, acutely hazardous and energetic type materials. Duties will include preparation of solicitations, proposal receipt and evaluation, simple negotiations when applicable, and issuance of formal Purchase Orders, Notice of Awards and Letter Subcontracts.

20% Monitor Supplier performance and assure timely delivery of requirements to meet customer needs.
