¶ … interview in the past that was certainly unstructured. The position was to help tutor middle school and elementary school students at an after school center during the summer months. One of the earliest indicators that this interview would be decidedly unstructured was the appearance of the two people who were conducting the interview. One of these people was one of the students involved in the afterschool program -- conceivably someone that I would be tutoring. He was dressed extremely casually in clothing befitting of a young teenager. The other person conducting the interview was in charge of the center itself, and was dressed strikingly similar to the way that the teenager was. They both had on jeans and t-shirts; the student wore a ski cap. The basis of the interview was extremely conversational. Generally speaking, employees were supposed to learn how to cut keys first and then, the longer they worked, learn how to engrave gifts and sell some of the higher priced items. Moreover, the kiosk was so small that only one employee was needed to work there at a time. As the summer progressed, I had been at the job for about five weeks before another employee was hired -- who happened to be of the same ethnic makeup as the manager at this particular location.

Despite the fact that I had been working at this location much longer than the other employee, I was not surprised when at the start of one of my shifts I saw…

By taking the initiative to accomplish this task, I showed leadership skills that my supervisor later praised me for, which was definitely encouraging. E. My supervisor was excellent in many aspects of her job, but could be forgetful when it came to returning client calls or attending to invoices that came due. When an item requiring her attention came across my desk, I would always be sure to have a face-to-face

Happiness Interviews on Happiness Happiness is a complex topic, with often divergent meanings for different people. This paper explores how two people of vastly different backgrounds view and define happiness. One of the interviewees is a female colleague who works as a nurse for a medical surgical unit; the other is my mother, a 72-year-old mother of three who has been married for 45 years. Although the interviews were slightly different for

Although the research tools provided by the ISO 14001 framework are both qualitative and quantitative, this approach is consistent with the guidance provided by Neuman (2003) who points out that, "Both qualitative and quantitative research use several specific research techniques (e.g., survey, interview, and historical analysis), yet there is much overlap between the type of data and the style of research. Most qualitative-style researchers examine qualitative data and vice
