Faith in a superior force is one of the most controversial issues under discussion in terms of arguments and counterarguments. In this sense, the main issue is the need and reason for believing in God, as some consider it futile while others think of it as the cornerstone of their existence. I personally consider that neither way is the actual solution in one's life. I think that one should have a sense of belief in something other than the controversial text of the Bible because it gives him a sense of personal direction and the feeling of never being alone.
The controversy of the biblical text has made many believers turn away from the Church. This is largely due to the fact that nowadays we tend to consider the Church, be it Christian, Judaic, Muslim, a source of spiritual and physical corruption. In the light of the scandals that seem to appear every day in the newspapers, people consider more appropriate a dramatic shift of options. In this sense, they either become extremely religious or, on the contrary, they adopt an existence which is not based on a belief. However, this is not a benefic approach, taking into account the fact that the role of belief is to guide us in our efforts to strive in life and to find accomplishment. In this sense, I think in discovering a new source of belief other than that of the Bible because the Bible is made up of too many controversies to be seen as the foundation of one's belief. I think that believing in a higher power gives you guidance and offers you the chance to address something in search for answers. I do believe that this is the most appropriate means of creating a new pure and personal source of belief.
At the same time, I think that this belief in a higher power which is not directly related to the text of the Bible is essential because it gives us the sense of not being alone. From various experiences I learned that the toughest sentiment of the human soul is, in my opinion, the feeling of being alone. However, no human being or material possession can feel that void. It is only the conviction that there is something that protects, guides, and represents a constant presence for your soul that can actually give me the sense of relief and determination to move on. However, the Bible cannot offer this insurance because there are too many interpretable aspects from the Creation to the acts of Jesus. This undefined position can become a point of disequilibrium which in the end can even affect the actual aim of the belief.
