Abstract

This doctoral-level book review examines 'Islam: A Short Guide to the Faith' by Roger Allen and Shawkat M. Toorawa, analyzing the authors' comprehensive approach to Islamic theology and religious framework. The review explores the book's systematic coverage of Islamic origins, ideology, organizational structures, and contemporary issues including women's roles in Islamic society. The analysis demonstrates how the authors successfully present complex theological concepts in an accessible format while addressing interfaith understanding in today's globalized world.

Three religious organizations have arisen in the territory we now call the Mid-East: originally Jewish, then Christendom, and ultimately Muslims. The Biblical scripture is undoubtedly the best illustration of what might be called the Christian- Judeo heritage; the Modern nations had already remained satisfied, it appears, to connect the whole first two monotheist religions. On the other hand, Muslims were already recognized as the metaphorically speaking many since its inception many years back, an item of presumption, anxiety, and loathing — just like any quantity of fights and utter quarrels can affirm. In light of the massive area of the world\\\\\\\'s most extensive territories where Muslim is the prevailing religion and the emerging trend of Muslims and its sympathizers in the Americas and Europe. We might indeed ask whether maintaining this long-established pose — line to a great extent on lack of comprehension or extreme cluelessness — is in the most outstanding service of humanity. Therefore, this paper presents the review of \\\\\\\"Islam: A Short Guide To The Faith\\\\\\\" By Roger Allen and Shawkat M. Toorawa.

This book review aimed to give readers a concise overview of Islam\\\\\\\'s basic ideas and religious framework, provided in the most approachable method –. Whereas each article may stand alone, the collection of research in this book review, together with the accompanying graphic pictures, is meant to offer a realistic view of Muslims and Islam societies as appropriate. In addition, Islam is a global faith with a long and complicated history (Allen & Toorawa, 2011). Thus a study is desperately required in today\\\\\\\'s society when disagreements between individuals of many religions appear to be increasing, whereas the globe we inhabit seems to be diminishing (Allen & Toorawa, 2011). It looks nearly challenging to compile a brief direction to Islamic, as the book seeks to accomplish.

Nonetheless, this author creates a sincere and practical endeavor. Any Christian preacher in the world, for instance, should understand the material. It is meticulously designed to help those with a piece of better Islamic knowledge. Therefore, this paper presents The author\\\\\\\'s preface that reminds the audience that Muslims make up about 1/5  percent of the planet\\\\\\\'s population. He looks at Islamic\\\\\\\'s genesis, development, and blossoming. In the book\\\\\\\'s table of content, the student is guided over four categories (Allen & Toorawa, 2011): Genesis, Ideology, Organizations, and different discussions. The approach is ideal because we learn about  Islam\\\\\\\'s sacred scripture called the Qur\\\\\\\'an. The Religious leader Muhammed and his lifestyle and lessons, and the interpretative literature that contains records of Islam\\\\\\\'s prophet acts and utterances and traditions and culture that followed his guidance in the society of the Muslim religion.

The book continues after learning the above fundamentals in the society of Islam, and The authors discuss Shari\\\\\\\'a legality, the ideology of Islam, and diverse manifestations of Islamic ways of life, especially Sufis, Sunnis, and Shi\\\\\\\'ites (Allen & Toorawa, 2011). All these sections demonstrate there is so much more to understand than the literature might contain. Nonetheless, this work provides a modest but genuine start toward a better knowledge of Muslims (Allen & Toorawa, 2011). The Islamic governance and the temple are two of Islam\\\\\\\'s organizations covered in part four.

The book\\\\\\\'s fifth and last part, Connections, addresses several issues in which not Muslims are interested. The first topic to be discussed is the complex problem of Islam and women. Female reception in Muslims varies from one Islam organization to the next, relying on whose lineage the sect turns to for governance and judgment (Allen & Toorawa, 2011).  the Messenger Muhammed\\\\\\\'s first longest-serving wife had been a respected counselor to him. After the prophet\\\\\\\'s wife died, his spouses played a crucial role in Islamic culture. female issues were always heard loud and clear across tradition and history. Female\\\\\\\'s limitations in Muslims likely stem from the era\\\\\\\'s customs where such regulations were formulated (Allen & Toorawa, 2011). The learner is given a chance to analyze the rationale behind Islamic judgments regarding females\\\\\\\' status around their civilization and in open spaces in this section on females in Muslim (Allen & Toorawa, 2011). The link connecting Judaism and Islam is discussed further in this chapter. In topics of science and philosophy, arts and literature, familiar parts of spirituality, and research, Muslims and Jews have developed significant ties (Allen & Toorawa, 2011). Islam and Christianity have had a long and tumultuous history. Even Christianity and  Judaism have been allowed by Muslims since they are both bearers of the scripture.
