Management and Leadership Qualities
There are multiple management and leadership qualities that I have acquired during the duration of this course. The vast majority of these are responsible for making me more marketable in a competitive business environment. At a high level, I can say that the qualities I have gained from this class have made me much more flexible and even agile in my approach to leadership. This fact is corroborated by the reality that the chief management and leadership quality that I have gained from this course pertains to extensive knowledge of these two disciplines (which are inherently interrelated). Quite simply, I have learned much more about management and leadership while taking this class than I have ever before. Previously, I was familiar with the basics -- transactional and transformational leadership. However, in the course of taking this class I have expanded my breadth of knowledge to include multiple nuanced styles of leadership and management, from visionary to servant-based paradigms and the Servant Leadership Survey (Van Dierrendonck & Nuijten, 2010).

In addition to the theoretical underpinnings that this class has equipped me with to bolster my knowledge and versatility, it has also given me a more profound understanding of what sort of factors are required to determine the most apropos style of leadership. Specifically, that relates to incorporating various factors of personality, society, emotional intelligence, and culture -- both at the company and at the country levels. Moreover, there are also personal qualities that I have gained through this course and which I can emphasize in my own demeanor to optimize my chances for success utilizing any of the different leadership and management styles I have studies. These include positivity, likability, and an awareness of the concerns of others that are traditionally rewarded with increased levels of productivity and means of accomplishing organizational objectives (Cavazotte, Moreno, Hickman, 2012).
The career path situation in which I will be able to apply my leadership, management style and research skills to address diverse organizational problems will be multi-faceted. Eventually, I hope to attain a position in upper level management for a Fortune 500 company. To achieve…
