For example, one of my students was a nursing assistant who had valuable input regarding the changes in technology that had occurred in the medical field.

EXAMPLE: Particularly in a class of adult learners, students demand that what they learn seems relevant to their daily lives, career goals, and professional aspirations. One of my students worked as a clerk at her local police station. After mastering the objectives in a segment on forensics, she felt better prepared for her position and she was able to help improve the procedures for processing evidence. This clearly enhanced her enthusiasm for the work we did in class as well as her value in the workforce.

D. Communicates Constructive Feedback

(D):Definition: Communicates constructive feedback; provides weekly constructive feedback to students.

EXAMPLE: I try to exceed the requirements established by SU Online for weekly feedback. Although the requirement designates a three-day period for posting weekly grades and comments, I post the weekly grades and comments within hours of the completion of each week. I find that this places the students in a better position to begin the next week's assignments. Before commencing future assignments, the students may review my suggestions and keep them in mind when completing similar assignments. Without detailed feedback, students cannot improve.

E. Performs Classroom Set Up in a Timely Manner

(E):Definition: Performs classroom set up in a timely manner; maintains an active presence and provides active classroom instruction.

EXAMPLE: I prefer to set up my course before SU Online deadlines.
