¶ … permission to take a course overload for the upcoming Fall/Winter Semesters, 2004-2005. The reason I am making this request is that I have an opportunity to complete my undergraduate degree early - by the Summer Semester, 2005 - and by adding three courses this upcoming school year, I will accomplish that goal.

And receiving my diploma ahead of the traditional four-year timetable will, in turn, afford me the opportunity to apply for admission to teacher's college, beginning in September, 2005. I have had an unflinching goal of being a teacher for many years, and everything I have done academically has pointed towards a teaching career.

If I am accepted at teacher's college - and with my good quality academic record, there is no reason to suspect that I won't be accepted - I will need to have completed my undergraduate degree. This is pivotal in terms of my reason for requesting to be allowed to take the extra load.

My confidence is at a high level as to my ability to handle this academic challenge; that is because I have maintained a sturdy 7.6 GPA (B+), which clearly reflects my dedication and determination toward scholastic excellence.

One reason I do maintain good quality grades is that I do not work at all during my semesters, and I have fine-tuned study habits that help me block out distractions and focus on the academic task at hand.

Last winter (2004), I took five courses, four from New York and one from Humber College - and my ability to excel at those classes provides justification for my belief that another two-to-three courses (most are half-credit classes) won't be a burden for me.
