We are all responsible for fantasizing dreams that seem far from reality. Although I have a myriad of yearnings, a dream of mine for six years now has been to attend the prestigious university of NYU. NYU is the biggest school in the world for many reasons. With students from all fifty states and over foreign scholars, NYU has the greatest number of international students, but also has one of the highest succession rates during and after college. I decided to apply to NYU because of the elite Media, Culture, and Communications (MCC) program that was named best school for media professionals and highly regarded by many organizations.

NYU accommodates the most preeminent programs, scholars, and succession. Of all the elite programs that NYU possesses, the MCC motivated me and gravitated my attention to apply to NYU the most. I was personally interested in the program because of its relevance to my degree of pursuit, communications. The MCC program has continuously produced renowned professionals in Jorge Gaviria, Claire Knebl, and Jordan Cohen, who work for organizations such as Masienda and The New York Times. These alums have diligently pursued their degree of major at NYU, but the MCC program provided them with unrivaled education and preparation for their careers. The MCC program provides students with nearly fifty majors to select from, with each major successfully preparing you for a future in the respective industry.

I selected the New York Campus to pursue my degree because of a long-held desire. My whole life, I intended on working for whatever motivated me. During my senior year of middle school, I struggled academically in all aspects, but was motivated to attend Saint Francis Preparatory. I lacked the school’s base requirements, and would not even be provided a letter of recommendation by a teacher due to my struggles. I would constantly exchange emails with Lisa Schaffer, the head of admissions, sending four, five emails every other day. Mrs. Schaffer eventually required me to achieve certain merits, for which I isolated myself and worked studiously. After four months, I was able to bring my average up thirteen points, making the honor roll for the first time of my middle school career. I decided to apply to NYU not only because of its prestigious programs and education offered, but also because of my long-held desire that motivated me to push myself, even against my will.
