Letter of Recommendation

To Whom it May Concern:

____ is currently employed in our small accounting office and wishes to pursue his/her master's degree in marketing in order to enhance their ability to advance in the company. ____ has been employed in the firm for one year.

Our relationship with ____ has been very profitable on all levels. They are a "low maintenance" employee who does not have to be told more than once what needs to be done. ____ is very easy to get along with and this facilitates the smooth running of office operations. ____ is simply a team player who fits in well, anticipating, taking note of and then executing their assigned duties nearly flawlessly. These duties include data entry, payroll, bank reconciliations and the preparation of federal income tax returns.

____ picked up their more complex tasks such as book keeping and tax return preparation very quickly. As an owner, I rate a lot of employees and they picked this up faster than any other employee I have seen. This puts them in the top 5% of the employees I have hired. Certainly, this would indicate good intelligence and the ability to quickly and competently absorb information and instructions.

While the position they have is "entry level," all jobs in a small company are important. Everyone here is required to multi-task and to perform multiple functions in a quick, high pressure environment. We promote from within. The applicant has an excellent potential to do research and quickly picks up new information (especially new tax law and forms) quickly from online and print sources. This would indicate to me that they have great potential to undertake research or to perform postgraduate study in their chosen field of marketing. Certainly, I anticipate promoting ____ into a marketing position once the company has grown enough to financially allow such a specific position to be created. Then, I and the senior staff can delegate such functions to that staff member.

In their position, ____ has exhibited great motivation and a sharp intellectual capacity. They perform their work to a high standard. This is certainly one of their great strengths.
