¶ … Window on a Snowy Day and Write What You See

Description: Paper based on a five paragraph essay three sentences each in MLA form looking out of your window, snow falling and writing what you see.

Looking outside my window on a snowy day I notice the range in size and shapes of the large snowflakes falling to the ground, covering the grass, the cars, lampposts and trees. I marvel at the pure white snow, untainted by smog and soot.

It's beautiful how the snow uniformly covers everything it comes into contact with, even though I know the snow is cold, the snow looks like it gives warm, soft embrace to everything it touches. I also notice the sun peeking out from behind the clouds, as it the sun is trying to get a glimpse of the snow too!

There's so much snow, I see a few of the small trees bending over to accommodate the weight of the snow on their branches. I wonder if the tree is going to be uprooted or bounce back to their original state once the snow melts away.

I marvel at how such small pieces of precipitation can accumulate so fast, I think about how many pieces of snow are covering the ground. I can only imagine it must be millions and millions of snowflakes creating this Winter Wonderland I am witnessing form.

I can barely see the small playground the children play in a few feet away. The swings, see-saw and slide are completely covered by the snow. If I didn't know it was playground there, I wouldn't be able to tell what is under the snow.

I don't think the children mind that the playground is covered. The snow is their toy of choice at this moment in time. They are making snow angels and throwing snow at each other. I see a small child trying to make a snowman, but since the snow is too soft, she can't do it. Other than her obvious frustration, the children look so happy and are having a wonderful time playing in the snow.

Some of the adults on the other hand, don't look as happy about the snow as the children do. I can see some people frantically digging their cars out from under the snow. The snow is about 5 inches deep most cars will have a hard time treading the wet snow.

The snow is showing no signs of relenting, as it seems to be coming down more and more. I open up the window and stick my hand out to see if I can catch a snowflake in my palm. Even though I get a few, they quickly dissipate against the warmth of my hand before I can get a good look at them.
