Media Plan
Other information I will need to know
Apart from the above information, it is important to know whether other factors could have contributed to the aggressiveness of the natives prior to the attack. Understanding the events prior to the attack will foster effective decision-making and development of interventions for preventing future occurrences of such incidences. It will also be imperative knowing whether there have been contacting the leaders of the affected community after the occurrence of the attack. Such a circumstance will provide significant insights into the problem and allow for dialogue on the strategies that can be adopted to create understanding and peaceful co-existence between the community and the soldiers. Most importantly, it will be invaluable to know whether any leader of the crew has contacted the legal bodies and the media.
Acquiring such information will provide insights of the expected public criticism and the need for better preparedness when facing the involved bodies. I will also consider acquiring information from the other soldiers who witnessed the attack and the affected community if possible. Such information is important for proving the credibility of the information provided by the other soldiers. Finally, I will consider knowing of the approximate number of the injured attackers and casualties if possible. Acquiring information on the injuries and deaths will aid in the preparedness for media briefing.
2. Command message
My command messages for communicating with the stakeholders concerned with the incident include msg@myteam attacked at 13:30 Hrs. This message command will be used to inform the concerned stakeholders of the attack that affected the camp. I will use the above message command in my team file (@filename) that is linked to my server that our camp has been attacked. Secondly, I will send message command to the head of the military service of the attack on the camp. The message command will be msg GenBrown/server:MNOPSOO@/time 1340 Hrs. This message is sensitive to time and will not require me to check whether the General has received the message of not. The third-message command I will use is msg*/v Attack Info! In this case, I will be sending a command message to everyone connected to my server an awareness message on the attack that has occurred in the company. Therefore, employing the use of these message commands will reduce the workload ahead of us significantly.
3. Opening statement for the upcoming press conference
Ladies and gentlemen, you are all aware that our camp was attacked by unknown individuals at 1330 Hours. The attack prompted our officers to use live bullets as they were overwhelmed by the attackers. Three officers were injured during the attack, while an unknown number of injured attackers involved. The attack resulted in the firing of 22 ammunitions that scared the attackers, thereby, making them flee away. As you are all aware that the mission of our organization is using force to safeguard the health of the officers in times of need, the officers had no choice on an effective decision to adopt during that situation. Relief food and any other organizational products were not stolen during the event as they retaliated after our officers responded the attack by firing live ammunitions. The attackers had crude weapons, including clubs, stones, and machetes. The major motive behind the attack remains unknown. However, we speculate the slowed process of relief food delivery to have contributed to it. Investigations into the matter are underway, and a report on the same will be unveiled as soon as possible.
Thank you.
