Mind Mapping

In essence, a mind map is defined as a diagram that connects information encircling a key topic or subject matter. The basic notion is that one starts with a fundamental notion and thereafter creates or constructs branches also referred to as nodes around that idea (Schmitz, 2015). The following will analyze a mind map app known as MindNode. MindNode makes it enjoyable and amusing to undertake mind mapping. In particular, this app enables the user to not only brainstorm, but also organize and ultimately share his or her points-of-view in an innate manner, in a way that allows one to lay emphasis on the notion behind it. More so, the clean interface permits the user to focus on creating and linking thoughts, and an interminably increasing opus, which implies that regardless of how enormous or intricate the project becomes, MindNode is able to manage.

One of the best experiences with MindNode is that it has the ideal poise between its striking design and ease of use. It also has the effective standard features such as being able to have syncing between the iOS devices such as the iPad, Macbook and Apple Watch. The app also has the features for import or export, which makes the app functional for any workflow. The best aspect of this mind mapping app is that it is incredibly easy to use. For starters, the user interface (UI) is very simple and instinctual in the sense that one can use it regardless of whether one is experienced in mind mapping or not. In actual fact, the user could almost certainly begin using MindNode, devoid of even completely comprehending the notion of mind mapping for the reason that the UI will teach the new user how to do it. More so, the text is designated in the fundamental subject node for the user, and therefore, all one has to do to begin creating a mind map using MindNode is basically to begin typing.

One of the most enthralling features and experiences with MindNode is that it allows the user to clean up things done on the UI with the aspect of being able to fold notes. By clicking fold on the note, all of the smaller nodes or branches become concealed or hidden and when it is unfolded, they all go back to their initial position. Therefore, the best part of this is that it enabled me to attain a great level outline, devoid of getting into the small details of the mind map. This is a pronounced feature and one of the main benefits of utilizing a mind mapping app rather than undertaking mind mapping on paper. For starters, the mind mapping aspect of being digital is much more tractable and allows the user to have much more options and prospects with regard to layout.
