Applying for a Better Future
The pieces that form the buildings in which we lead our daily lives are made from such inspiring creativity. Whether it is architecture or interior design, the most beautiful constructions, inside and outside, are those that we admire most. I have loved studying geometry since I was a little girl. Sharp corners, semi-circles, all of these figures fascinated me as pieces of a puzzle. I saw these pieces combining to form buildings, and designs inside of buildings that enhanced a certain construction's beauty. I have, thus, been fascinated by architecture and interior design for as long as I know, and as soon as I found that the New Jersey Institute of Technology has a wonderful Architecture and Interior Design Program, I knew that this was a destiny for me.
My family has always supported me in my decisions and my passion. This is my chance to give them something in return for all the support, which they have offered.
My inspiration for applying to this program to continue my passion is thus also my family, and especially my mother. I would like to pursue my studies to offer my mother a better life, and a career for me for which she is proud. I also want to be a role model for my younger siblings. I believe that my role as a big sister would help them see how to proceed in life, especially when youth is influenced by such divergent and sometimes negative art forms and societal pressures.
Attending the program and pursuing my studies in Architecture and Interior Design will not only open the next chapter of my life, but will motivate me to pursue these studies that much more, especially given the NJIT's excellent staff. I have always been a great student, interested in the creative part of the world, and these programs will thus enable me to further my passion.
