Bark-wood Dog Daycare is a canine daycare facility that is intended for the professionals who are willing and have desire of providing quality care for their pets while they are committed or at work. Its establishment is based on real market need within the high-end high-income market.
Management and organization: Bark-wood Dog Daycare will be established as a corporation which is equally owned in terms of shares by the three founders Graham Willis, Peter Drake, Tom Rintintin. Our operation to establish the legal entity is supported by the local legal firms such as Pug & Kesshond, Shar-Pei. Start up for Bark-wood Dog Daycare is supposed to be simple as well as cost effective. The main expenses will be rent and utilities that will arise from the large building space and office, (Genevieve Van Wyden, 2013). Other expenses will be advertisement expenses for promoting the service but these expenses may go down as more people will be having more knowledge of the services.
Start up inventory will include food for the dogs, shampoo and grooming supplies, as well as bedding among other supplies. Some of the assets will be bathing facilities for the dogs, and kennels together with play grounds. Apart from our own funds, we will require loans to start up the company. Each investor will invest $20, 000 and this will be added to the $50, 000. The aim of the business is to pay off the loan over three years.
Objectives:a) Be able to launch the business and develop sales of about $35, 000 per month annually; b) The sales to increase by 20% every year within the second and third year while increasing profitability) By the end of the second the business to break, and be profitable by the third year going onwards.
Mission: Our business will be able to control the canine care market for community through offering a favorable environment for the entire kinds of animals to be housed. We will be able to make our customers to have confidence in us as they consider the business ability to care for the pets to their satisfaction. Our business will control significant market share as well as increase our profit margin in the eve of growth and expansion. The business is supposed to run conservatively and finance its growth through operational revenue.
Competitive advantages: The business has its key to success. It caters for the need of the pets owners as much as possible. Upscale community forms its initial location on the outskirts of metropolitan area where there are no related businesses. The running of the business will be on a timely and organized manner. The statement "the customer is always right" will prevails considering the fact that usually owners know their pests well, (American Pet Products Association, Inc., 2013).
Services: Bark-wood Dog Daycare provides an environment where an individual can leave his or her pet while on vocation, weekend trip or at work. Other services that are offered are low-level veterinary services, grooming, washing, exercising and feeding, (Planning & Environmental Department, 2010). The business will be located majorly within the high-income residential area. Our customers will be required to pay by the hour, by the day, or by the month. The business will offer day and night services. The assumption of the business is that $250 be generated by an average customer per month.

Market Segmentation: The targets of the business are pet owners with financial capabilities that they can use in their dogs in an elaborate manner. Some of them are from double income homes which are in need of an extensive amount of time to spend away from home. Men and women aged between 35 and 65 will be the primary focus. These individuals live within the upscale suburbs that surround metropolitan area. Their pets play a significant role in their lifestyle, and they even consider them as children.
Sales Forecast: A fee is charged in every hour for every dog. The hour charge is $15 for the day care. The services will include care for the dogs as well as grooming. Sales that are forecasted are in terms of the number of dogs estimated to be cared for in every day, together with number of hours averagely that every dog will spent in a day. The services will be offered everyday of the week considering the fact that even during weekend some families like to go to vocation. The projection of the business is that the sales will go up as time go by because of increase in the number of dogs to be attended to.
