Roy Adaptation Model (RAM)
The Roy Adaptation Model (RAM) for Nursing originated with the lifelong work of Sister Callista Roy. The Adaptive Model is developed on the foundation that includes four primary components which are the person, health, environment, and nursing (Andrews & Roy, 1991).
This model teaches you to look beyond just the symptoms and look at the patients situation and life more holistically to determine a more comprehensive treatment plan.

Watson's Theory of Human Caring
The Theory of Human Caring is based on the idea that humans cannot be treated as objects; they cannot be separated from their self, others, nature and the universe (Arslan-Ozkan, Okumus, & Buldukoglu, 2013).
This model has many simulaties to the RAM Adaptation model in the sense that it also focuses looking at the patients personal surroundings and their lives. It considers factors such as support systems that are in place that are comprised of family and friends.
