For smaller market teams this translates into a minimum of an additional $200,000 or more in ticket sales for every single game the Yankees play in their city. When the Anaheim Angels of Los Angeles play the New York Yankees at home, there are over 45,000 tickets sold per game, which is a sell-out, at a minimum price of $5 each, not counting concessions or higher-priced tickets taken into account. For all the criticisms and complaints of the approaches and practices the New York Yankees take to create a winning baseball club every season, there are those longer-lasting and lasting contributions they make to the game and its brand globally as well. No one can question their performance as a brand, selling out every away game for the last few seasons and their contribution to advancing the sport and brand of baseball.

The age of the stadium can be appealing if the stadium is rich with history, or if it is new and equipped with the most modern features. However, middle-aged stadiums may have neither appeal and could result in depressed attendance figures. In his youth, Jimmy had missed becoming a pro pitcher because of a shoulder injury. Now Jimmy receives a rare second change to perhaps live his youthful dream after all, in midlife, a time when, realistically speaking (at least for the vast majority of would-be baseball professionals) anyone not making it long before this has simply missed his chance. Jimmy Morris's late-life professional baseball story is true (with a few Hollywood add-ons); put perhaps more importantly

Many top recruits did not flourish and become great players. The player's union has opposed salary caps vigorously, but even players might benefit. Yes, they might not make A-Rod salaries. But there would be less pressure from fans and owners to perform at an unrealistic level. Baseball is attempting to transition into a kinder, gentler era, with less emphasis on using drugs to perform at a high level. Instating a

Prejudice and stereotyping are not new to society, but alert students (and others who are educated as to the dangers of prejudice) should beware of falling into stereotyping that unfairly passes judgment on others who are not like us. Thesis: While it is nearly impossible for people to avoid placing certain groups and individuals into strict stereotypical categories, nevertheless honest, thoughtful people recognize and avoid the injustices perpetrated by stereotyping. According to Halpern (1996, p. 197), arguments that utilize irrelevant reasons are fairly common: "The Latin word for this sort of fallacy is non-sequitur, which literally translates to 'it doesn't follow.' In other words, the reason or premise is unrelated to the conclusion." Since relevant premises are a key criteria for building sound arguments, it follows that critical thinkers must learn to recognize and avoid such fallacies. However, in the
