TONIA MOSCHELLA

As a young girl, Tonia was living in a humble household in Texas. As an adult she moved to study at Achieve League Academy in Minnesota as she lived with the aunt Melanie Gibson (RIP) after which she joined International Academy in Miami for her high school education from 2002 to 2005 and later Albany Medical College in New York for her degree in dentistry and subsequent masters degree in the same in 2009.

Her hands-on career began at New York Presbyterian Hospital where she worked till her death. As a care giver, a comforter, an empathizer, a consoler, an adviser and a professional medic, she was held dear by the hospital staff and the patients she interacted with once, or several times on dental check ups.

She kept a rigorous work schedule that demanded her extra input due to care for human life. She worked up to 12 hours a day, not under duress but on self volition in order to make sure that no one leaves the hospital with pain in the mouth. She had a very non-itinerant life which earned him a nickname from her friends as "the tooth fairy" throughout her life.

Tonia Moschella born on October 16th 1978 died on March 12th 2011 in the same hospital where she spent her major part of her precious working years serving humanity. Her death was occasioned by a sudden abrupt hemorrhage of the brain as per the postmortem results. The hemorrhage is suspected to have been caused by a head knock on the side of a patient bed as transcripts from surveillance cameras indicate. She never got the chance to share exactly what happened, as she drifted into a comma shortly after reaching her office and never recovered.

Her life will be celebrated in the society as compassionate mother and friend to those she came across in her life, in the healthcare sector as a professional who gave all and contributed to the research and gathering of new knowledge, among her colleagues as a selfless individual who gave advice and assistance without malice or prejudice.

Tonia Moschella is survived by two daughters, 12-year-old Brittany and 8-year-old Tyra who will miss her dearly. She also leaves behind brothers Joshua, Michael, Derek Moschella and James Bryant.

Tonia will forever be immortalized in her workplace motto of "if duty calls, you better pay call to the duty," unfortunately we will keep calling her, but never will she call back. May her soul rest in peace forever, till we meet again.
