Students can get a basic academic education at almost any university. However, in today's competitive job market, this basic education does little to make a student a more attractive job candidate. Internship programs give students a chance to work in their desired fields, make job connections, and frequently earn some money. Furthermore, the University's internship program is varied. Students can find local internships, internships in Washington, D.C., and even international internships. This chance to give students real work experience while still students is one that gives students a real advantage in the job market.
