Opportunity To Highly Recommend One Essay

¶ … opportunity to highly recommend one of my employees for admission to your center. To background, I first became acquainted with ____ when he was hired as an intern in our finance department. The position he started out in was an important one, and I personally interviewed and then hired him as a full-time staff member. At that time I was a division manager, and had a chance to observe his work from the beginning of his internship until the time he advanced into management. His dedication and talents made him one of the youngest managers we have promoted in the history of our company. He is a very talented and dedicated individual, and it shows in his work. He is very attentive to detail and always mindful of deadlines. I can personally attest that any projects he volunteered for were completed ahead of schedule.

To cite an example of his dedication and hard work, I would like to mention a specific project that ____ was involved in. Our company had considered implementing a quality management system called the ISO 9001-2000. No other employee particularly cared for this daunting task, but Mr. ____ persuaded me that he was confident he could help integrate this system into our company. Based on his past successes in our department, I agreed to give him a chance to start this project, and I am happy to say he exceeded my initial expectations. He gathered a team of five senior employees and devised a precise and effective plan to carry out the ISO 9001-2000 project. Top level management was kept informed of the project, and even approved the budget Mr. ____ proposed, despite the fact that he had no prior experience with project management. The project implementation went smoothly under his direction, although he did exceed the budget slightly.

Mr. ____ is an intelligent, thorough person who takes great pride in every detail of his work. His natural curiosity drives him to attain and exceed goals that are set before him, and his easygoing personality allows him to work smoothly and productively with other staff members. He is a natural communicator, a determined individual and I have no doubt that he will be successful in your program and beyond.

Thank you for your time,
