The pcmag website seems to have an ordered structure that makes it easy to follow, simple to locate desired information, and purposeful in its approach. The approach the website seems to be taking is one that would make it a relatively simple matter for the user to find exactly what is desired.

The website's structure is straightforward and simplistic. The structure is three-columns under a banner that features the logo and website pages that can by easily clicked. The columns feature smaller headline links that draw the users attention to specific areas of technology, a 'today's deals' column and a 'latest news column'.

The user can click on any of the specific areas of technology in order to read reviews and find pricing on the various products. Today's deals offer excellent values, and the latest news column provides articles on various aspects of technology, including hardware and software updates as well as current events in the world of technology.

As the user scrolls down the page, the three-column approach holds true, but the offerings change. The user can now click on additional technology product reviews in the first column which is marked 'editor's choice', the second column provides 'features' which are articles targeting a specific theme. Currently the featured theme is 'The Best Security Suites." The

third column (as the user scrolls down) gives access to opinion articles by various experts.

The purpose of the website is to provide professional opinions and information on a wide variety of technology and technological related information. The overall look and feel of the website is one that is ordered, clean, neat and conducive to those who wish to discover the needed information in a relatively quick fashion. The intended audience seems to be anyone who is interested in basic and advanced knowledge on technology products and issues. It does not seem geared to any particular group, as it seems to contain information that students, professionals, gamers and even casual users might find useful.

I found an interesting article on how AT&T had 'flubbed the 4G network' that provided me with a reason for not purchasing an AT&T phone (how can you trust a company that lies about a basic premise?). The article's author states that the AT&T 4G phones are actually slower than other company's 3G phones, but that AT&T still promotes the fact that they have 4G; one would have to wonder why the company does that.

The website also offers a product spotlight column that features different technological products. The spotlight column likely provides revenues to the company that is needed to maintain and update the website, but it also provides a place for advertisers to get their specific product in front of an interested consumer. The advertisers have great incentive to feature their products on such a professional website.
