¶ … strength of the draft is the overall segmentation of the material. Each segment is distinct and the information contained in it is pertinent. The draft has great detail in regards to certain elements of the competition. The explanation of Telenor in particular is great. The organization of the draft is logical and follows a predictable pattern, building on the previous section. I enjoyed how you addressed the risks and benefits of the option you selected.

The description of the situation and introduction is very clear and straightforward. It is very easy to grasp the problem and the challenges that are faced by Telenor. The overall landscape of Myanmar was presented very well. The group did a great job of articulating a top-level view of the situation and the country for those who did not know. It was also great to read about the specific sectors that were employing citizens and the countries that were entering the market.

Although the draft is very detailed, there are many recurring errors that need to be mitigated. First, there are many grammatical and formatting errors throughout the entire document. In section III, there are many issues relating to spacing and lack of punctuation. In section, the same issue arises. The spacing is erratic within the section. Some letters appear to be single spaced while other letters appear to be double-spaced. In addition to the body of the paper, the works cited page appears to have formatting errors as well. First, the citations should be numbered. It is also isn't clear what style of citation you are using. If you are using APA style, it may be better to order the citation by alphabetical order. Authors with last names ending with "A," should be the first citations listed on the page. I believe the entire document should be reviewed for consistency. The fonts and spacing should be consistent throughout the entire document. In addition, the spacing between letters should also be consistent throughout the entire document. Formatting is very important as it makes the document easier to read and comprehend. By having varying formats, fonts and spacing, the draft causes the reader to strain to read it. In addition, consistency indicates a level of professionalism within the draft. It indicates that the team is thorough in the way that they conduct business and provide recommendations. It also indicates that the material presented was not rushed or otherwise fabricated from unknown sources.

From a content perspective, the material seems to be well presented. However, more detail is needed in regards to the industry dynamics. For example, is the industry fragmented with high-end consumers and low-end consumers? What is it that consumers demand when looking for a telecommunications provider? Do Asian consumers typically make purchasing decisions based on price or value? More information that incorporates the future outlook of the industry would also be helpful. The telecomm industry is relatively dynamic so an analysis of the future world is warranted.

A macroeconomic analysis would be great as well. An analysis of the macro environment would add credibility to the draft. Currently, the draft has many assumption embedded within it. I don't see proof to back up any of the claims presented in the draft. A analysis of the macro environment would help. How many people in the territory that Telenor is operating in, actually have the income to afford the service? What is the unemployment rate growing or shrinking? The draft mentioned GDP growth only over a short period due to the government opening its markets. What other improvements have occurred since the government opened up that can help your claim for option 2? For example, the draft has a line that states, "It must start working on establishing a strategic partnership in order to be able to compete in that market - at least financially." What proof do you have that says the company would need a partner to compete financially? An easy way to do this is through trade publication, journals, and industry statistics. These are very common on the Internet and easily accessible.

More detailed is needed on the other competitors in the market. The other competitors and their capabilities directly correlate to the group's decision to accept option 1 or option 2. A great way to show competitive strengths and weakness is through a SWOT analysis. It is very simple and indicates the various strengths, weakness, opportunities, and threats of each competitor in the market. It also helps guide the group's decision regarding option 1 or option 2.
