I consider myself to be very open to new experiences. I like to travel to new places and to interact with people from different backgrounds. I enjoy listening to new types of music; seeing different types of movies and television programs; and meeting new people. When envisioning my future, I do not believe that my life is likely to resemble that of my parent's or even the life of my childhood friends. I am very future-oriented. I enjoy spending time with other people, and like social events like going to parties and going out with my friends. However, while I do often feel as if my batteries are 'recharged' through downtime with others, I also need time alone. If I do not have some private space, to be with my thoughts and to do as I please (whether this involves working out, listening to music, or just taking a walk) I can feel just as stressed and unhappy as if I am left alone for an extended period of time. Thus I think I rank in the middle, on a scale of 'extroversion.'
