The government argues that the budget allocated to the emergency medical services is large. Legislators are working on how to reduce the budgets through various large contract negotiations. New policies on the drugs imported have been introduced. Paramedics are striking due to salary irregularities in the department of emergency medical services.

Negotiation of large contracts by the legislators will allow the government to save funds, which will be used to buy other emergency services equipment. The funds will be used remunerate the paramedics so that they can be motivated and offer emergency services to their level best. Striking paramedics will make the government pay attention to the services they offer them salary increment (Martin 2006).

New policies on the imported drugs might lead to a shortage of drugs because the companies dealing with drugs might be given a limit, which might not be enough to serve the people. Striking paramedics are fighting for the rights, but it will affect the people, as they will not attend to during the strike, which might lead to deaths.

Economic

Economic factors are very crucial in any business organization. It is because any business contributes to EMS in one way or another. Changes in interest rates and inflation will greatly affect EMS, as many businesses will not achieve their targets and goals. The government will not collect enough revenue to fund EMS. Salaries and wages to the paramedics will not be consistent and equipment used in EMS will not be acquired.

Such fluctuations in interest rates and inflation will make the government devise other options of funding EMS. Top government officials will not relax, as they will be seeking other options for ensuring the EMS services are offered to the people without a problem.

Due to inconsistent salaries and wages, many paramedics might resign and seek employment opportunities in other places. Paramedics might offer inadequate services to the people since the government will not have enough funds to sustain paramedics and procure the equipment used in case of any emergency.

Socio-Cultural

Socio-cultural factors that will affect EMS services include an increase in aging population, changing eating habits, gender preferences, and a decrease in fertility. Due to these factors, emergencies will increase, and the government will have a challenge of attending to the people through EMS.

The government will seek more funds from grants, financial institutions, and well-wishers such that it can offer medical services to all the people equally. It will be an opportunity to the paramedics since the government will be forced to recruit more paramedics such it can attend to the people faced with various emergencies (Martin 2006).

Due to increased emergencies, it will be a threat since the government might be overwhelmed by the emergencies occurring within a short period. Many people might succumb to the injuries caused by various accidents due to equipment shortage and staff to attend to their needs.

Technological

Technology has improved communications, which is a crucial factor in EMS. Green information technology has enabled the government to achieve political imperatives electronically. Technology has enabled the paramedics to seek consultation while in different geographical locations.

The paramedics will save many lives, as the use of technology in communication will EMS response to be efficient and effective. Paramedics can seek assistance from other staff in case of any challenge with the help using modern communication technology.
