Personal Philosophy My Life Is No Doubt

¶ … Personal Philosophy My life is no doubt different from 99.9% of the rest of the American nation, and I'm not talking about the "occupy" movement. The occupy people are saying that only 1% of the population has the money and the power and the rest of us -- 99% of America -- are left with the crumbs. They have their point but my philosophy isn't directed against Wall Street per se.

My theme embraces the big picture; that is America consists of millions of pathetic little powerless worker bees banging against superficial goals that they are attracted like so many summer moths being drawn to (and slamming into) a porch light on a steamy August night.

This essay should be very clear as far as theme and purpose, because I am blunt spoken, honest in my statements, and never shy about letting others know how I feel about life, the world, the U.S., politicians, phonies pretending to be important, organized religion and preachers. Who Am I? Why Do I Believe What I Believe? Fasten your seat belt because this might be a rough ride.

What I have to say is not going to be pretty but this assignment is not about sweetness and joy and little boys opening presents under the tree on Christmas morning. It is not about pretending to be something I am not. It is designed to offer me a chance to lay out my statement of purpose, what I believe, and why I believe it. I am a 25-year-old Marine Corps combat veteran. I have served my country in some of the most hideously dangerous situations any one could imagine.

I have been shot at, I have shot at (and hit) the enemy. I have slithered along on all fours in the mud to track down the enemy and I have baked in 100+ degree temperatures in the burning sand to track down those fools. I never waved my American flag in anyone's face but I believe in what I have done though I'm not sure I'd do it again.

I have no doubts that if I could line up a dozen radical Islamic insurgents and/or terrorists against a wall on this very day, September 11, 2012, before I shot them I would punch and kick them first to let them know how much they are hated.

America will never get back the 3,000 people that were murdered by Osama bin Laden's lackeys on 9/11 -- those that paid for jet plane transportation but were killed when terrorists slammed those planes into the Pentagon and the World Trade Center and ended the lives of the innocents working in those buildings -- but we all are in debt to the Navy SEALS who went in and risked their lives to nail bin Laden. I'm a libertarian.

What does that say about me? I believe in liberty, true liberty, where each person has the absolute right to pursue his or her dreams. I respect the rights of others do to what they think is best -- although I also have the right to call them sheep if they simply follow along with what there are told and mindlessly respond when ordered to do something -- and I take it one step further.

Libertarians advocate "…a higher degree of both personal and economic liberty" and we are not at all like the liberals of today who advocate having government control economic affairs (www.Libertarianism.com). The sad part about U.S.

politics in my opinion is that today's liberals and conservatives very often seem to reject the heritage of liberty and personal responsibility; these warring political groups seem to want to but is all in the shackles of government rules and laws and I thoroughly reject that idea, which is why I follow libertarianism.

I'm no fan of President Barack Obama, but really, is Mitt Romney the best the Republicans can come up with? How could a major party nominate a man with secret bank accounts in the Cayman Islands? What is he hiding? And why won't he release his tax returns from a few years back? It just shows how far down the road to oblivion the country has come.

If Romney gets elected, is he going to have Donald Trump as his economic advisor? Honestly, the major parties have fallen so far from the tree of liberty that our founders planted, it may not be possible to ever return to policies that truly reflect what freedom should be about. I am also an atheist. I have my person reasons for my lack of belief in the Great Creator, but I will share my views on organized religion.

All a thinking person has to do in order to realize the absurdity of most religious organizations is to put some thought into the phony concept of "heaven." Okay, if there is really a heaven "up there" or anywhere, how does a person get there? The Catholics say they have the only way to get to heaven; follow their rituals and if you're good and you don't use birth control -- and you're not gay or lesbian -- you may be allowed into the Catholic version of the gates of heaven.
