My Qualifications for a Master of Business Program

Based on the experience I have gathered so far, I am confident that I posses the necessary qualifications to successfully undertake a Master of Business program. More specifically, thanks to my current position and related responsibilities, I have over time developed various skills which could come in handy as I pursue this particular program.

To begin with, I am convinced that on the basis of my work experience, I already have sound understanding of contemporary management practices. Having been in charge of Finance, Marketing, Management and Human Resources, my working knowledge of management duties is particularly comprehensive. With 10 staff members under my direct supervision, I am responsible for the preparation of weekly roasters and the coordination of staff evaluations. I am also responsible for not only the recruitment and selection of warehouse staff, but also the development of their skills through training. Currently, my other duties and responsibilities include the enhancement of the smooth running of warehouse operations by amongst other things scheduling and assigning tasks to employees and following up on their performance; safeguarding the safety of operations at the warehouse by establishing and monitoring security protocols and procedures; and ensuring that the various needs of our existing clients are addressed conclusively.

I also have practical knowledge of financial management principles. On this front, my duties and responsibilities include but they are not limited to the coordination of the financial transactions of the entity; generation of the key corporate financial statements including but not limited to the Statement of Financial Position and the Profit and Loss Statement; reclassification of cash accounts and reconciliation of bank statements; etc. The Master of Business program will in this case further reinforce my professional confidence, critical thinking skills, and leadership abilities.

My 3 Most Important Accomplishments to Date

Looking back, there are many accomplishments I would gladly list as having been critical as far as my professional growth is concerned. In this text, I will list only three of these accomplishments. One of my most important accomplishments was being accepted as an intern at the world's most prestigious Film Festival. During the engagement, I was assigned the duties of liaising with agencies and various press outlets, coordinating various activities, and budgeting events. I also got an opportunity to work as part of a team that was actively involved in the resolution of the event's problems globally. I must say that amongst other things, this particular undertaking made me appreciate the relevance of teamwork.

Yet another accomplishment I deem vital was the role I played in the inception and launching of the company's Bath Program. On this front, I was instrumental in the identification of an existing opportunity for the company to further enhance its revenues through the sale of Bath Products. Today, thanks to my efforts and those of my colleagues, our company is regarded a model for all other distributors of bath products. Like it has been the case with my previous accomplishments, this particular event also presented me with a valuable learning opportunity. Amongst other things, I learnt that for a company to remain relevant in a highly competitive marketplace, it has to embrace innovation and continuous improvement.

In campus, I also had an opportunity to serve as a Peaceful Multicultural World Ambassador. As an Ambassador, I was part of a group that was offered training on how to formulate and develop strategies for enhancing not only the understanding but also the respect for various diverse groups on campus and in the world. I made use of the skills I acquired during the said training to facilitate group discussions on diversity issues within the university. This experience made me appreciate the need for diversity in a world that is increasingly becoming borderless.

My Career Goal for the Next 3-5 Years

There are a number of career goals I plan to accomplish in both the short-term and in the long-term. To begin with, I plan to advance my education so as to further sharpen my knowledge of best practices in my area of specialization and their application in the corporate world. It is for this reason that I am seeking admission to pursue a Master of Business program. In addition to this particular program, I also plan to enroll for short courses in strategic management and finance.
