Personal Statement I believe that education is the prime catalyst for the development and improvement of humanity. Education has been responsible for all the innovations and growth areas in humanity over our years of evolution. For this reason, the doctoral program I am seeking will help me build up my experience and enhance my knowledge. With the tools I gain in this way, I can then go into the world and effect the changes I perceive as necessary to make life and the world better for humanity as a whole.

I believe that Pepperdine University has one of the best programs I can desire to fulfill my current educational and future professional needs. My current background constitutes an MBA, along with six years of experience in administration work. My field of work was a private university, where I learned the many intricate details of business administration for this specific environment. Specifically, I spent six years working at a leading university in Saudi Arabia. I worked in two departments, including Marketing and Students' Life.

My work here involved establishing new events, clubs and teams. To do this effectively, I needed a large amount of passion and skill in order to start new trends and ideas that would be appealing to the students within that environment. Working with the students gave me an opportunity to show them I believed in them. This was a powerful motivator and catalyst to help them establish changes they needed to make in order to become successful.

Because I was able to connect with the students in this way, and also because of the skill and passion I was able to display, the university gained a higher level reputation in the areas of events and activities. I take great pride in my accomplishments, but also understand that this could not have been possible without teamwork and without input from the students themselves.

The experience I gained during my time of work at the university, as outlined above, has prepared me to take this new step in my education. I believe that I am now ready for a higher level of education. This, in turn, will allow me to become a catalyst for necessary change in society and the future. I supplemented my work at the university by studying a masters degree.

Working on these studies, even while I was gaining experience in the same field at the university, offered a maginificent opportunity to gain practical experience even while familiarizing myself with the various theoretical bases of my work. In other words, I was able to implement what I learned in my practical environment, thereby developing my career prowess and effectiveness. The combined experiences of working and studying allowed me to graduate with a high GPA. I received an honors title and was thereby highly motivated to enter further study.

It is in this combined work ethic of theoretical study and practical work that I became deeply aware of the ways in which hard work could help me reach my goals. In this spirit, I have attended many conferences and events focusing on youth revolutions and being a catalyst for change.

This has placed me into contact with many leaders in the youth and social arenas, and I was able to gain a large amount of knowlege from them, especially as regards a good work ethic and overcoming obstacles to goasl I set for myself. As such, I have set a path for myself that I aim to accomplish with the skills and work ethic I have built over the years.

In addition, I have had the pleasure of working personally with many prominent persons in the education and business fields in Saudi Arabia. In addition to the great expertise and knowledge I gained from these associations, I have also gained a sense of motivation from them. All those I have worked with saw potential in me and strove to develop what they saw as the possibilities within my future. It is with this background that I came to the United States and.
