Problem Solving Personal Mechanic Each day act personal mechanic. That, faced a myriad decisions, choices problems "fix." These range simple complex. Each day act personal mechanic. That, faced a myriad decisions, choices problems "fix." These range simple complex Each day we have to deal with number of problems. These problems can be classified into two broad categories.

One are considered as immediate problems which needs an immediate solution while other are considered as those problem which do not require an immediate solution but they can create hindrances as far as long-term situation is concerned. For example if the car is not properly working or your microwave oven is not in an order than we can consider such problems as immediate problems as people cannot wait for a longtime for the fixation of such problems. They require immediate solutions.

However consider the situation in which organization is thinking that their current advertising campaign is not going to be productive for the future of the company. As far as this situation is concerned it is quite obvious that such a problem is foreseen for the future which will be requiring some changes for the future but not today as far as its nature is concerned. One thing should always be kept in the mind that people should not panic when problems come in their way.

It should be considered as an examination which has been imposed on you from your almighty God. If you will plan properly and execute those plans accordingly than there are hundred percent chances that you are going to cope with the situation (Kolb & Stuart, 2005). People often ask that is there any one best formula for dealing with the problems. It should be very clear that there is not one best way of solving the problems.

However people belonging from the area of Human Resource Management and Time Management have develop certain techniques by the help of which people can get the guidance for solving their problems. The techniques and processes developed by the experts of management should not be considered as the only best way of solving the problems. Even an illiterate can sometimes solve those problems which might not be solved by the scholars of our society.

Like many people of the society I have also gone through the situation where my actual result were different from the expectations and that suggested the fact that I was going through the phenomenon that is considered as a problem. In any real scenario correct identification of the problem is of utmost importance. Is should be ensured that you are treating the problem rather than treating the symptom of the problem.

For example not getting the good marks is the symptom while the problem could be the lack of concentration towards the studies (Jozwiak, 2004). Some scholars have suggested a particular model for solving the problems.

The model comprises of five steps which are identification of the problem, development of alternatives related to the problem, advantages and disadvantages peculiar to each alternative developed previously, developing the solution for the problems keeping in view of the alternatives developed and lastly monitoring the applied solution in order to know whether the applied solution is productive enough to deal with the situation (Sternberg, 1998, p. iii). In past I have also gone through the situation in which the desired results were not similar to the perceived expectations.

I appeared in various competitive exams including the civil services exam but unfortunately every time I went in to such exams I could not make into it. Therefore in order to deal with this problem I followed a five step model for solving the problem. I identified that the problem from which I was going through was the lack of clear direction. As I was appearing in every exam which was advertised in the newspaper.

Then I decided that I would go for only one type of competitive exam so that I could also prepare for it. Then I developed strategies for preparing for the civil services exam. These strategies can be considered as alternatives for the identified problem. These alternatives were evaluated by observing that which books.
