The gambling industry has grown by leaps and bounds over the recent past. It has seen people walk away with millions of dollars every single year. Lottery has seen people sleep paupers and wake up millionaires, people have seen the sun rise as average citizens making do with small earnings but sleep royalties due to a won lottery. Many have taken to build their personal lives and transform them to suit their new status in the society. However, this is not what an empathetic society should always be about. It should not be about self aggrandizement, self sustenance, self grandiose lifestyle. Always think of the desolate in the society.
The society is proliferated with those who can hardly afford a home hence sorted to sleeping under the bridges and paper houses. Thos who cannot afford a meal a day hence resorted to food stamps and some begging for food along the food stores. Those who cannot afford any decent dressing hence cover their dry backs with pieces of clothes extensively tattered and hardly good enough to be called clothes. Families that are broken in the spirit and in structure, no longer living together because they cannot afford to maintain a family setting, they get scattered from once a unified happy family with all provisions to nothingness and abject poverty. There are fellow human beings that cannot afford to get clean water nor proper medical care in their daily lives. It is for this lot that my heart goes out to, they deserve our care.
In the event that I win a lottery, my first and only priority will be to make the lives of the highest possible number of people from this above category better. This I will do with utmost respect to the identities and conditions of the beneficiaries. I will ensure it remains a secret that I hold dear to my heart and not use it for fame mileage and self proclamation. I will target the very poor within the USA and even outside the USA. The fight against abject poverty will be my main aim with the lottery win and will ensure sustainable projects or initiatives are established for the poorest of the poor. This will not be just another social cause but calling to a just and philanthropic cause. It is a duty and a calling that each person needs to respond to with urgency that it deserves. It is possible to eradicate abject poverty.
