The quality improvement initiatives of a company involve planning, analysis and recommended improvements, and finally the execution of the improvement strategies and their monitoring. The planning phase is involved with demarcation of goals, objectives, scope, organisation, activities, timeline and resources so as to reach at the desired goals. The phase of Analysis and Recommendation involves demarcation of the target areas necessitating improvements to the processes. The third process of implementation and measurement of improvement recommendations involve determination of the ways to quantify the improvements; execute the process improvements and; updating of the process documentation. Applying this in the sphere of school management the school leaders find the management of school change and improvement as one of their most complex task. Fullan, Sparks and others analysed that the school leaders are required to be aware of the change process so as to lead and manage change and improvement strategies effectively. They are required to come across the obstacles and adjust to the chaos that eventually prevails in the complex process of change.
