Social media is an entirely new way of collaborating and co-creating content with target audiences. It provides practical resources for health workers to raise awareness of public health-related issues and to facilitate behavior change and ultimately help people live healthier, safer lives. With social media they can disseminate information in real-time and link groups of people around common issues.

Public health prevention would succeed as it would reach more audiences with social media. Social media would enable them to disseminate information in real-time and hence be in a position to inform the targeted audience in a timely manner. They would also be able to reach and influence behavior change in more people.

Online platforms for social networking do qualify as true social networks as people use social networks to communicate, talk, share, grow their relationships and build new ones. This is the same principle that is applied in person-to-person networking the difference being it is applied in a new way. When people join social networks like Facebook and Twitter, they can post one picture or message and all the persons in their network can check their page and see the message.

The same is true for new happenings in the public health sector around the world, news about any upcoming events, or any other information that needs to be mass distributed. This makes communication streamlined and easy. Instead of sending multiple emails to make an announcement, one can simply use the social networks to send out such information. This enables easy communication of the information in a faster and easy way to all people in the person's social circle.

Question 3

Data analysis involves cleaning, transforming and modeling collected data, aiming towards highlighting important information and making suggestions that will assist in decision making. Results for data analysis should be presented in a way that they can be easily readable and will make sense and also be attractive. Charts and tables present a visual way of looking at the data for ease of interpretations. It is also the best way of presenting the data to others as people do not like reading lots of numbers or they may not remember the figures as easily as they would for the graphs or tables.

Once the data has been analyzed and presented using charts or tables it will be distributed to the relevant people. The internet is the best tool for disseminating the data this is due to its prevalence ad ease of accessibility from many kinds of devices and snot just computers. With the use of social media it will be much easier to disseminate the information to more people than possible if one was to use email or placing the information on a website. Social media like Facebook and Twitter can get the information delivered much faster and will reach the targeted audience in a timely manner.
