The author discusses the topic based on the increased interests in the processes of reverse logistics and incorporation in supply chain management. In addition to determining and evaluating trends and practices associated with the concept, the article will also describe the current state of reverse logistics. As part of the process to determine reverse logistics trends and practices, the author will evaluate the extent of its processes and activities in supply chain management procedures. The paper will include a literature review, which will be carried out to provide insights about the concept given that it's a seemingly new and developing component with limited available information. The literature review will basically focus on providing necessary information that will provide indicators of trends and practices in reverse logistics. The review will also entail an overview of reverse logistics and how it's currently utilized to enhance the effectiveness of supply chain management processes. After conducting an overview of reverse logistics, the researcher will then analyze information from literature review. This analysis will be geared towards ensuring that the information is credible and represents the actual trends and practices in reverse logistics.
