John Paul II and Jesus Christ

Even with the fact that they were separated by two millennia, Jesus Christ and Pope John Paul II were actually more similar than someone might be inclined to think. It was especially difficult for John Paul II to adopt an attitude similar to the one put across by Jesus 1900 years before him, taking into account that people in the contemporary society are more vulnerable and exposed to diverse concepts that are likely to turn them into sinners. However, the former pope managed to keep his integrity and fought for the well-being of mankind throughout his life in spite of the fact that he suffered greatly as a result of his beliefs.

One of the most important similarities between Jesus and Pope John Paul II is represented by the fact that they both followed a life path that was filled with traumatizing moments. However, they managed to maintain their character throughout their lives and fought with the purpose of promoting morality as one of the most important values that humanity can possibly think of. Even with the fact that they were both special at a young age, they did not think about becoming two of the most important figures in the history of mankind.

While the masses thought of these two characters as being extraordinary people, they were not impressed with their public image and focused on performing actions that seemed ordinary from their point-of-view. Moreover, they did not allow problems that they came across to diminish their fate and their determination to assist the world in overcoming its problems easier. Both of them went through assassination attempts and it is only safe to say that God intervenes in their lives and prevented others from killing them because he had important missions for them to perform. Even with this, they eventually left this world when their time came and probably went to accompany God in Heaven.

John Paul II realized that one of the most important teachings that Jesus wanted to express related to how people need to experience a journey meant to assist them in achieving self-discovery. Being well acquainted with one's personal identity apparently greatly assists the respective individual in being able to get closer to God.

Society has had a tendency to label both John Paul II and Jesus as being conservative individuals because they stood by their principles. These individuals did not want to tell the masses what they wanted to hear, as they did not hesitate to tell the truth, regardless of the fact that it was in some cases ugly. They were both born in countries that were under foreign occupation: Israel was occupied by Romans while Poland was occupied by Russians. Even with this, this did not stop them from putting across God's word and from trying to enable individuals that they interacted with to improve their connection with the divine.
