REQUEST FOR QUOTATION FOR INDUSTRIAL CHEMICALS

Miller Inc. is looking for qualified suppliers of industrial chemicals. Qualified suppliers are thereby invited to provide sealed quotes for the provision of these industrial chemicals as per the list below.

The chemicals required are:

500 liters concentrated sulphuric acid

1,200 liters sodium hydroxide

800 liters sodium bicarbonate

REQUIREMENTS

All quotations must include sales and use tax. Miller Inc. is not a tax exempt institution. These taxes must, therefore, be included in the purchase price.

Illustrations of the chemicals to be provided and descriptive literature on why your company's chemicals are best and any substitutes proposed should be included. You should also include a promise of timely delivery and a guarantee of quality.

A list of current customers who the quoting company serves is required to prove the integrity of the company. Also include contact details for these references (customers).

Certain circumstances may cause Miller Inc. not to take advantage of any cash discounts thus these should not be included in the bid price. If a cash discount is included, this will result in automatic disqualification.

All bids must conform to all minimum federal and state regulations of California in regards to bidding, wages, conflict of interest and discrimination.

All quotations must quote the price of a single unit of the commodity. Miller Inc. reserves the right to reduce the quantity of material purchased. Miller Inc. also reserves the right to reject any or all of the bids if any compromise, fraud or corruption is detected.

All quotations must bear the RFQ number above and must be valid for a minimum period of 90 days and the commodities must be supplied at the quoted price. The price should include delivery charges up to the registered offices of Miller Inc.

In case the vendor has any relationship with any board member or employee of Miller Inc., this must be exclusively mentioned in the cover letter of the quotation. Should later investigations reveal any such relationship, Miller Inc. reserves the right to cancel the award of the tender.

CONTRACT PRICE

Should your company's quotation be accepted, the quoted price of the goods becomes the contract price. 15% of the contract price will be released at the remainder will only be released upon delivery and confirmation of delivered goods to be of the required quality. Prior to award of the contract, the library will negotiate with the vendor on any changes to the quotation before the final contract is drawn.

DELIVERY OF COMMODITY

A 25% penalty on the contract price will be applied for every day which the vendor is late to deliver the chemicals.
