Branding for a Furniture Line Made From Recycled Plastics

The focus of the research is on the connection which can be made between an eco-oriented marketing attitude and the profitability which could be obtained from using a difficult material such as plastics for the manufacturing of furniture. Taking into consideration the current financial crisis I believe that one of the business areas that will continue to develop is represented by the eco-oriented ones such as recycling. Plastics can be recycled into furniture to which the design can give an extra added-value. The purpose of my is to create a brand for this line of furniture having the following main characteristics: innovation, eco-friendly, youthful, dynamic, contemporary, trendy. A marketing analysis will also have to be done in order to understand the costs involved by such a process and thus the clients that this brand would have to target (depending on income, life style and interests).

Branding organic fashion line. Natural fabrics

As technology develops, so does fashion. One of the elements that might contribute to creating innovation in this field are the natural fabrics. This paper has the purpose to study the social impact that their use would have upon the areas where plants used to make natural fabrics are being cultivated. Besides the aesthetic benefits and the big advantage represented by the quality, these fabrics might represent a financial challenge. This could be counterweighed with the opportunity that marketing might benefit from regarding communication and branding with a focus on a life style attitude which is orientated towards wisely using the Earth's resources. A sort of alliance could be made in terms of a communication campaign with a company which sells beauty products which are all natural, such as the Body Shop.

Redesign TTC (Toronto Transit Commission) visual system including signage, monthly pass, poster, etc.

The preset research focuses on creating a coherent visual system through which the commission can convey its messages and at the same time create a solid and attractive identity for itself. I will create a proper slogan, logo and other visual elements which can make TTC immediately recognizable and easy to remember. These willd be used in a synergetic manner on all the available material which regards it, from the monthly passes, to the posters, flyers, cards, etc., but also on the signs themselves. A proper communication and promotion campaign will also be projected in order to make sure that the changes are understood and embraced by the community. The research will also focus upon the best locations for the signs and the number of signs that is necessary in order to create awareness.

Marc Jacobs introduced fully transparent plastic shoes that recorded a huge success. Based on this example I will research the possibility of how fashionable shoes from recycled materials can be. The strategic key words of the research are innovation, technology and fun. A research regarding the perception of recycled materials being used for wearable items will also be concluded as a supportive element for my analysis..
