¶ … Moved My Cheese?
Before the video;
Describe a current situation in which you or others are having difficulty dealing with change.
My mother
My mother is dealing with the fact that people in our family are not as close to one another as she would like them to be.
How do you feel about the situation?
I believe that those people have revealed their true colors and that we are better off without them.
What does change have to do with behavior management?
A particularly important change that I endured in the not too distant past with my personal life involves estranging myself from my so-called family. I have always been perceptive, and became aware of the fact that I was at a stage in my life where I could either stay where I was and not too much else would change, or I could choose to go forward and move and make a future for myself on my own terms. I could tell that my family was taking me for granted and if I stayed there things would just get worse, so I decided to move.
Change has everything to do with behavior management -- at least positive change does. One must learn to master one's fear of the unknown and to ascertain what it is that he or she truly wants in life. Once one has accomplished that initial objective, change requires a number of different aspects of behavior management. Some of the more important of these are temperance and discipline, which goes in accordance with focusing on a particular aspect of change and finishing it. Confidence and composure are two valuable aspects of behavior management that are required for change, since they enable one to stay positive while attempting to change.

Threaded discussion
In your opinion, which of the 14 points most relates to the change process?
I believe the point in the 14 points that most relates to the change process is asking oneself what will happen if one does not venture out into the maze to attempt to change. Negatives can provide just as much motivation as positive influences can, and for people to consider an unhappy future for the simple fact that they fail to venture into the unknown can be a powerful source of motivation.

Select a couple of the 14 points and discuss how the different generations might view and interpret them.
The four generations would have different answers to the question of what would happen if they did not venture out into the maze and attempt change. The Traditionalists would probably like the answer to that question since it would allow them a degree of stability in knowing what would happen in a stable environment rather than an uncertain one. The Millenials would more than likely look the answer on some website or take a poll through a social media site with their friends to see the likelihood of what would happen if they did not venture into the maze -- since this generation is always plugged into something or another. Generation X would relish the independence and freedom of venturing into the maze, whereas the baby boomers would seek to be politically correct about where they went.
The change I would like to see the most in my work life is my embracing computers and technology more to network more musically. The point that is most relevant to this is the one in which I determine how good I think it would feel to find new cheese. I definitely need to focus on the positives of how good it would be to actually network and expand my horizons by meeting people who could help to take my music forward. I believe that doing so would ultimately help to take my own life forward. Therefore, following this particular point would result in a win-win situation, which I why I believe it is so valuable to my pursuit of music.
How often do we impose change, top down, allowing for no real participation, no involvement and not even an explanation for the change?
Don't be fooled by the story's simplicity.
Sometimes the best answers are the simple ones.
The quicker you let go of your old cheese, the sooner you will find new cheese
