The speech by Susan Anthony depicts the way in which the U.S. women were denied their constitution right to vote during the early 1800s. The speech shows that men were the only ones allowed to participate in voting exercise, while, the women played an insignificant role in the process. Similarly, the speech shows that men, resulting in the discrimination of the women, occupied most of the leadership positions in the government. Based on this, the presenter questions the credibility and validity of the reasons given to defend the basis for denying the women to fulfill their constitutional obligations. The speech implies that a society characterized by discrimination of women faces numerous challenges such as poverty, poor economic growth, and inequalities. The speech means a lot to me. It gives me the impression of the injustices underwent by the women in the U.S.A. during 1800s. It provides me with insights into the developmental milestones underwent by political history of the U.S. that has shaped the current face of the political life of the U.S. (The History Place 1).

The strength of the words used by the presenter of the speech signifies its effectiveness. The words used by the author targets psychological needs of the readers, the fact that is likely to contribute to its success by stimulating interests among them. The speech references other written documentation such as the constitution of the U.S. It bases its arguments on the legal provisions of the U.S. constitution that allows its citizens to vote and not specific sex. Its use affects the speech significantly by providing it with the desired legal strengths. If I were delivering the speech today, I would use visual aids such as pictures of injustices underwent by the women due to oppression by men and social problems caused by gender specificity. I will make it more impactful by providing relevant evidence as examples before delivering the message to show its relevance (The History Place 1).
