Role of Money in Politics The influence of money on the contemporary politics is enormous and one that cannot be wished away. The role that money plays is as significant as the victory of the party. It has been observed in all the campaigns that the party members usually fall back to funds drive in order to raise money for the campaign, this is an aspect that has already began in the U.S.A. It is a tricky situation taking into account the fact that corporations are treated as individuals in all manner of approach except in politics. However, my opinion would be not to involve the corporations in politics or financing of political affairs or ambitions. This opinion is informed by the unforeseen consequences that may come with such activities. This involvement in politics can be used by corporations to quietly fight other corporations they deem as enemies and to some extent impose monopoly by the bigger corporations.
The second concern here is that the political participation by the corporations may also mean a tool of blackmail that can be used at any time by the sponsor corporation(s). In effect, the supported presidential candidate will owe the corporation a favor in return once they successfully get into office hence the beginning of pushing for dubious reward systems.
