I take my education very seriously and put forth my full effort in my academic studies. I believe my future to be tied very closely to my academic success and thus I do my best. I not only enjoy my classes and getting an education, but I understand its importance. I therefore think it is fitting for me to receive a scholarship as not only do I recognize the value of an education but I act on that value with all of my effort. Not only am I understanding of the value of an education, but I also work hard to receive the maximum benefits offered by it. I do my best in every class I take, and my academic record shows not only my desire for education, but also my practical application of hard work. There have been numerous times classes have been difficult for me; I am not a gifted scholar in all aspects of studies. Yet still I do well because I believe in the significance of maximizing ability and the lessons learned from overcoming obstacles are those that will stick with me for my entire life. The opportunity to receive an education is of utmost value to me and I will capitalize on the opportunity to study. No matter the difficulties that will surely arise, I will do my best to fully realize my academic potential. Yet it is necessary for me to have assistance to achieve my academic and future goals. Education is expensive and I do not have the money at this point to pursue all my academic goals. Therefore assistance would be of great benefit to me, and this scholarship is perfect to help me purse my studies. This scholarship will help alleviate the pressure put on my by the financial restrains of higher education and allow me to fully concentrate on my studies, an area where I know I will succeed. While I do not currently have the money to pursue my academic interests, I do not believe that should stand in the way of a motivated, talented, and hard working individual. As a student, I believe I should receive the scholarship to help me to learn and pursue my education, and thus develop not only as a student, but as a person, and become better equipped to take on the world after I graduate. My past has shown my willingness to maximize the opportunities presented to me, and this scholarship will give me an opportunity I would not otherwise be afforded. I have in the past overcome obstacles. In classes which the subject has not come easily to me I have found extra help and spent extra time to do well. In particular, there was a math class in which the concepts seemed like a foreign language. Yet I was able to work with the teacher and study extra material to not only pass the class, but pass it to the best of my ability. This shows my willingness to not only work hard, but to work hard when there is a challenge. I believe anybody can do well when the subject matter comes easy to them, but the true merit of one's ability is shown when their back is up against the wall. I succeed not only in subjects that come easy to me, but in those that do not. I am willing to put in the extra work in all academic areas- those which are easy and those which are difficult to me. This sets me above and beyond the average student and makes me deserving of a scholarship. The scholarship is important and necessary to my academic success. If given the financial opportunity for academic success, I will capitalize on it and succeed. Before I can show my potential, overcome the obstacles, and put my academic ability and my intelligence to work, I need help financially. Not having been given full financial freedom to pursue my academic interests, the scholarship will be of great benefit to me. Without having to risk falling into debt or not being able to study as I would like would be advantageous to me. Receiving this scholarship would pay huge dividends to my life, and I would use its benefits to the fullest. This scholarship is perfect for me as a hardworking student and will benefit me in countless ways. It will give me freedom to pursue my academic studies, and I am a fitting person to receive the scholarship as not only do I need it, but I will maximize its value.
