Unfortunately, this presentation has no speaker notes. Therefore, the presentation lacks vocal variety. There is actually very little verbal content in the presentation, which requires speaker notes. Therefore, delivery comes across as being poor.

Critique and rate the speaker's introduction.

Score = 2

The speaker does offer his or her name in the title slide, which also offers the title of the presentation. This fulfills both Rule 1 and Rule 2 of the 12 S's in "Guidelines for Professional Communication." However, there is no explanation of what exactly will be covered in the presentation. The introduction would be better if it offered more of an outline. Rule 4 of "Guidelines for Professional Communication" suggests that the speaker should state the focus of the presentation.

Rule 3 of the 12 S's in "Guidelines for Professional Communication" is specificity. Indeed, the presenter does offer a specific topic, which is how to keep workers happy or to create a happy workplace environment. Rule 8 of the 12 S's is also fulfilled, as the presenter offers an email address as contact information. Moreover, rule 5 states that the presentation should be as brief and to the point as possible. This presentation is certainly short. However, several other rules in the "Guidelines for Professional Communication" are violated. For example, there are grammatical errors such as in Slide 5: "How does your work life affects your life?" There are also content problems such as incongruity between title and content of Slide 2.
